Products We Offer

Admiral Marine Limited is a specialist independent company offering a range of marine insurance products from authorised Underwriters. We will give you details of these Underwriters when we discuss your individual requirements. Admiral Marine Limited acts in the capacity of an Underwriting Agent for Markel International Insurance Company Limited and only underwrites it’s own Plain Language Insurance Policy.

In respect of legal expenses cover Admiral Marine Limited acts in the capacity of an Underwriting Agent for Amicus Legal Limited and only offers their Marine Legal Cover.

In respect of other insurances Admiral Marine Limited acts in the capacity of an Insurance Broker with other Underwriters on behalf of clients.

You have identified a need for which we may ask some questions to ensure our product is suitable for your requirements. You will then need to make your own choice as to the suitability of our product.

Remuneration

Our remuneration is by way of commission paid by Underwriters, by a fee paid by the client and by profit commission, if your premium is quoted in US Dollars or Euros, a fee is charged of respectively US$50 and €25. The company will retain interest earned on money held on account.

What To Do If You Have A Complaint

Are We Covered By The Financial Services Compensation Scheme?

We only arrange insurance with Insurers who are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if they cannot meet their obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim without any upper limit.

Admiral Marine Limited maintains professional indemnity insurance in accordance with the requirements of the FSA.
