As participants start gathering for the World Cruising Club’s 30th ARC Rally. Admiral Yacht Insurance Underwriter Dave Andrew, has set off on his annual trip to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria to meet up with participating boat owners insured by the UK based Yacht Insurance Company.
Proud sponsors of the World Cruising Club’s ARC Rally, Admiral Yacht Insurance have visited Las Palmas every year since the company’s inception in 1991. This gives the underwriting team an opportunity to support ARC clients as they prepare for the rally, and to assist with any last minute insurance cover changes they require. It is also a welcome chance to meet new policyholders for the first time. Admiral’s MD, Robert Holbrook, an experienced blue water sailor himself, will also be on hand to give advice on must–see Caribbean destinations, hurricane layup locations and laying-up ashore during the hurricane season.
Admiral clients will be receiving a complimentary aloft inspections of masts and rigging plus plenty of helpful advice from ‘Jerry the Rigger’. Jerry has been providing Admiral’s ARC Rally participants with rig checks for many years and this risk reduction activity is much appreciated by those venturing out into the Atlantic, especially since he regularly finds issues requiring attention.
