Admiral Yacht promote fire safety awareness at WCC’s Guildford Seminar

Once again Admiral yacht insurance were pleased to participate in the World Cruising Club’s ocean cruising seminar recently held at the Holiday Inn in Guildford and delivered by industry experts.

As a corporate sponsor and strong supporter of the World Cruising Club  for many years, Admiral has developed their ARC RALLYeXtra and World ARCRALLYeXtra yacht insurance policies to meet the needs of rally participants, which in addition to the standard cover provided by Admiral’s comprehensive policy, include benefits not available from other yacht insurance companies.

Robert Holbrook, Admiral’s MD, and Bob Samuels, Admiral’s in-house Claims Manager, enjoyed meeting with those at the seminar to discuss their potential yacht insurance needs in preparation for the WCC rallies. The week-end’s presentations covered a wide range of subjects and provided participants with excellent information to assist in the planning of their sailing adventures.  Admiral responded to queries regarding yacht insurance cover and yacht insurance costs, and requests for guidance on Caribbean layup facilities, making a sound contribution to the success of the event.

Being keen to promote safety awareness for those involved in the rallies, Admiral held a raffle for five high integrity smoke alarms.  The early detection of fire on yachts using such devices is crucial to the safety of all those on board, mitigating a very real risk to both life and the yacht.

Admiral looks forward to seeing seminar attendees again at WCC’s Bluewater Open Boat weekend due to be held  16th/17t May at Berthon Marina, Lymington,  and will be on hand to assist with any yacht insurance queries.
